Natural Ethiopian Opal Loose Cabochon, 1.85 carats, 12.75x6.25mm

Loose Gem- Nice and bright swirling play of color with green and blue, some yellow, orange, red and purple in this elongated oval Ethiopian opal cab with a creamy yellow and red base. Play of color is easy to capture on camera with this one, mixture of pinfire, confetti, flagstone and bands of vertical color that explode up the sloped sides of this high dome cab. The colors are even brighter in person. Looks just like a popular caplet from the top, but not for internal use. Nice size for a pendant, could be a ring stone if well protected by the setting. A bezel would be able to grab the base and leave most of the opal exposed. Have had this one in my collection for years, just wanted to make it available for someone else to enjoy.Gem Weight 1.85 carat.
