Description Rare dry bean, found at a farmers market. Cooks up plump and delicious. Grown by Deluge Farm. Packet, 1 oz $3.50 [hr] Growing tips: Beans prefer warm soil to germinate, so it’s best to sow when you’ll have a few warm sunny days in a row. Light colored bean seeds are more susceptible to rot in cold wet soil than are dark colored beans, so you can get away with earlier sowing of the black or red bean seed. Season: Direct sow after danger of spring frost, into warm soil. In Montana this is usually late May or June. Germination: Seeds can pop up in just a few days in good conditions, or may take up to a week. Sowing instructions: 1 seed every 4 inches, about an inch deep. 2-3 rows per 4′ bed, or in rows 2′ apart. Bulgarian Blush Dry Bean, Organic Seed
